What's your standard turnaround time?
Standard turnaround is 5–7 business days from scan upload to ship. 99.2% of cases ship on or before the promised date. Rush cases are accommodated when possible — give us a call at (248) 919-7929 to confirm timing.
Do you accept all intraoral scanners?
Yes. We accept STL, PLY, and DCM exports from iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Primescan, Medit, Carestream, and other major intraoral scanners. Files can be sent through the doctor portal or directly through your scanner's cloud connection.
Which dental implant systems do you support?
We work with every major implant platform: Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Zimmer Biomet, BioHorizons, Neodent, Hiossen, Dentsply Sirona, Osstem, MegaGen, Implant Direct, MIS Implants, Bicon, Southern Implants, Keystone Dental, Glidewell, Adin, Cortex Dental, AB Dental, Thommen Medical, Anthogyr, IDI, BellaTek Encode (ZimVie), and Blue Sky Bio.
Are you an authorized BellaTek Encode laboratory?
Yes. 3DL is a certified Encode Empowered Laboratory partner with ZimVie, authorized to work with the BellaTek® Encode® three-in-one system that combines healing abutment, impression coping, and scan body in a single component — eliminating extra appointments and abutment swapping.
What materials do you use for crowns and bridges?
Full-contour zirconia, layered zirconia, IPS e.max (lithium disilicate), and full-cast crowns. All materials are ISO-certified and sourced from premium domestic and OEM suppliers — no shortcuts on materials, no off-brand substitutions.
What if my practice doesn't have a digital scanner?
3DL is a fully digital lab — we work with practices that scan. If you don't have an intraoral scanner yet, give us a call. We'll help you find the right scanner for your practice (we work with iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Primescan, Medit, Carestream, and others), share what's working for similar offices, and have you sending cases the moment your scanner is up and running. In rare cases we can accept analog impressions for an additional digitization fee — give us a call to talk it through before you ship.
Where is your dental lab located, and do you ship nationwide?
We're based in Wixom, Michigan (28373 Beck Rd, Suite H8, Wixom, MI 48393) and ship to dental practices in all 50 U.S. states. Ground shipping is included as standard. For practices that need their case in hand sooner — or for offices farther from Michigan that want delivery just as quick as a local lab — rush and overnight shipping is available for a small additional fee. Just let us know when you submit the case, and we'll take care of the rest.
How does the free first crown case work?
Open a free account, upload a digital scan, and we'll design, mill, and deliver your first single-unit crown at no charge. We'll go over the specifications with you before production starts. One free crown unit per new practice — no credit card required to get started.
Do you require a contract or minimum case volume?
No. There are no contracts, no monthly minimums, and no setup fees. Send us one case or one hundred — per-unit pricing doesn't change based on volume, and you can stop sending us cases at any time without penalty.
Can you help me identify the right implant components before I submit a case?
Yes, at no charge. Before you submit, give us a call or send us a message — we'll help identify the correct implant connection, scan body, abutment type (stock vs. custom), and emergence profile for your specific case. Component verification is part of our standard workflow, not an add-on.
